Docks
The main elements of the interactive interface are now in docks. These docks can be docked at the edges of the workspace. They can be minimised down to the header. Individual docks can be grouped into a dock to save space.
There are a greater or smaller number of options available for each construction. The options can be adjusted via the Options dock.
For a better overview, the options are divided into categories. Each category can be expanded via
. When opened
, all options of the respective category are visible. The two buttons ![]()
at the top of the dock expand or close the options for all categories.
All option screens have been renewed and present themselves in a tripartite arrangement. In the left bar, the dots show the number of options and which option is active. In the middle, the option is shown in a picture. Additional information is displayed in the right bar. Clicking on the option image activates the option. The option is switched by scrolling on the option screen or selecting the green corner and choosing the desired option. The alteration of an option is immediately applied to the construction behind.
Each construction has one or more drag areas (short areas) which can be switched in the areas dock. The drag areas were introduced to give greater control so that not too many points can be altered at the same time. After having activated an interactive construction the first drag area is active. It is highlighted with a green bar in the areas dock.
The dock values contains the X-values for the active drag point.
All break sizes activated in the active drag area are displayed and can be adjusted .
The left button
enables dragging individual sizes. Alterations to one size do not apply to other sizes. The grading increments are changed.
The right button
enables simultaneous alteration of the sizes of a figure type. Alterations are automatically transferred to all sizes of the respective figure type. The grading increments remain unchanged.
The button
enables simultaneous alteration of all break sizes. Alterations are automatically transferred to all break sizes. The grading increments remain unchanged.
Selected drag points can be linked with x, xg, z or g values. In this case, an additional entry option appears. If an X, XG, Z or G value is entered there, the drag point is linked to this value and can no longer be changed. In this case, the buttons ![]()
are not visible. Removing the entry releases the connection.
The other elements of the values dock have the following significance:
|
This drag point adjusts a single x value. |
|
This drag point adjusts two x values, for example the x and y co-ordinate of this freely moveable point. The settings for one x value respectively are visible. |
|
Show all sizes |
|
Hide all sizes apart from the active size. |
|
Base size of the construction |
|
This size is hidden. Clicking the box before the size renders is visible again, |
|
|
The size is visible. Clicking the check mark hides the size. |
In the dock break sizes, the break sizes for the active drag area can be selected. Switching to another area can be done directly by clicking on the drag area at the top of the dock. This means that break sizes for different drag areas can now be selected more quickly. The dock break sizes gives a quick overview of all selected break sizes in the different drag areas.
You can find more information about break sizes here.
Save and load shape
The settings of an interactive construction are saved in the corresponding x value list. This list is invisible for the user. It is updated automatically by Grafis. Clicking on save shape
or pressing <STRG>+<SHIFT>+<S> saves this x value list together with a preview, the notes and measures.
The name of the shape consists of the date, the time, the computer name and the user name. They are saved as individual xwf files under \Grafis\Forms\[Name of the construction].
The shapes dock offers all xwf files saved under \Grafis\Forms\[Name of the construction]. The selected shape is loaded via double-click. Clicking on a shape with the right mouse button opens the context menu with the functions new folder, copy, cut, rename and delete.
You can now also mark shapes that you use often with a favourite
and filter them with the favourites filter.
Shapes can be loaded for other break sizes or into styles of other measurement systems; you may have to re-assign the break sizes to the shape.
ID measurements which have been set with dimensions and comments are also saved with the shape. The entry window for comments is opened by clicking on notes
.
The test run/prieview
function calculates the construction record of the active part and the dependent parts after each interactive change. In this way, the effects of the interactive alterations on subsequent record steps and on dependent successor parts can be checked via preview in real time. The preview objects can be moved with F3.
